Copyright Policy

Our policy

Aladdin AI respects copyright. We respond to notices of claimed copyright infringement that follow the Digital Millennium Copyright Act (DMCA), 17 U.S.C. § 512. When we receive a valid notice, we remove or disable access to the material and tell the user who provided it.

Designated agent

Designated agent: to be published.

Until then, send copyright notices to legal@aladdin-ai.net.

How to send a notice

Your written notice must include:

  • Your physical or electronic signature, or that of a person authorized to act for the copyright owner.
  • Identification of the copyrighted work that you claim is infringed.
  • Identification of the material that you claim is infringing, with enough information for us to find it (for example, its address on our site).
  • Your address, telephone number and email address.
  • A statement that you have a good-faith belief that the copyright owner, its agent or the law does not authorize the use of the material.
  • A statement that the information in the notice is accurate and, under penalty of perjury, that you are the copyright owner or are authorized to act for the owner.

How to send a counter-notice

If we removed your material and you believe that this was a mistake or a misidentification, send a counter-notice to the designated agent. It must include:

  • Your physical or electronic signature.
  • Identification of the material that we removed, and where it appeared before we removed it.
  • A statement, under penalty of perjury, that you have a good-faith belief that the material was removed or disabled as a result of mistake or misidentification.
  • Your name, address and telephone number, and a statement that you consent to the jurisdiction of the federal district court for your address (or, if your address is outside the United States, any judicial district in which we can be found), and that you will accept service of process from the person who sent the original notice.

As the DMCA provides, we can restore the material 10 to 14 business days after we receive a valid counter-notice, unless the person who sent the original notice tells us that they have filed a court action.

Repeat infringers

In appropriate circumstances, we close the accounts of users who repeatedly infringe copyright.

False claims

Under 17 U.S.C. § 512(f), a person who knowingly and materially misrepresents that material is infringing, or that it was removed by mistake, can be liable for damages.
